In 2022, Würth Austria will be one of the TOP 15 of the most family-friendly companies in Austria within the “Trade & Textile” sector. This year, the media brand freundin and the employer rating platform kununu once again honored the compatibility of family and career, a good work-life balance, feel-good factors and equal career opportunities with employers. Willi Trumler, Managing Director of Würth Austria, is pleased about the award: "Motivated employees are very important to us. That's why it is very important to us to provide them with the best possible support in the different phases of life with individual solutions - be it with flexible working hours, the opportunity to work from home or with parental leave for young mothers and fathers."

Ekaterina Chesnokova, Head of Personnel Development and Recruiting at Würth Austria, explains why the term family-friendliness should be defined even more broadly in the modern working world: “For me, family-friendliness also means implementing measures to support all individual care and nursing tasks - even beyond childcare.” Yenia Zaba, Director of Global Communications & Brand at kununu, explains: "It is important that family-friendliness ultimately means more than home office and flexible working hours. Family-friendliness is more complex. It is also expressed in the fact that companies create individual solutions to meet the needs of their employees."

This year, a total of more than 2 million reviews of 175,000 companies in Austria and Germany were included in the study, on the basis of which the ranking was created. Each of these companies for which at least one review has been received since January 1, 2022 and which meets the minimum number of 50 reviews on kununu.com had a chance of being included in the ranking. In addition to the working atmosphere, work-life balance, salary and equality, current and former employees from all work groups, industries and career levels primarily rated family-friendly offers, such as flexible working hours, the opportunity to work from home, childcare and company pension schemes. Further evaluation criteria included supervisor behavior as well as career and further training.
