Personnel losses at Mazda Austria

Simone Strohmaier has been working for Mazda Austria for 19 years and has worked in numerous sales and marketing areas of the Southern and Eastern European national companies, including as Director Sales and Customer Experience Central and South East Europe. In these roles, she played a key role in building the dealer network and establishing some important markets. “We are very pleased to be able to gain Simone Strohmaier, an experienced Mazda manager who knows the company like the back of her hand,” said Christian Heider, Managing Director of Mazda Austria. "Together with her sales team, Simone Strohmaier will continue the long-standing, good collaboration with dealers and ensure a strong dealer network. With the recently launched Mazda CX-60, the sales focus will increasingly be on the large premium models, Mazda CX-60 and Mazda CX-80."

Reorganization B2B

There are further personnel changes in the B2B area: The previous B2B and fleet manager Ornella Dreier is taking on new agendas in area management and is now business manager for the Austria West area. In this role she succeeds Lothar Beyer, who retired at the end of February. In the future, Ornella Dreier, together with Michael Drechsel, Business Manager East and Arno Hans, Business Manager South, will be responsible for sales support for Mazda dealers throughout Austria. Marc Sperl is taking over Ornella Dreier's agenda as the new B2B manager. He will drive forward the development and expansion of the B2B area, which includes remarketing in addition to fleet management and car pool. The trained automotive mechanic previously worked for Wiesenthal Handel und Service GmbH for several years, where, among other things, he was in charge of the Fleet Management Key Account Austria. The responsibilities of the remaining management team in sales remain unchanged, with David Griessnig as Senior Manager Dealer Net & Dealer Risk, Christian Fuiko for Sales Planning and Logistics and Stefan Köfler for Product Management and Sales Promotion.

New management for customer service

As of April, Hermann Hechtl, previously Senior Manager Customer Service, will be appointed as the new Director of Customer Service, succeeding Robert Böck, who retired at the end of March. In this role he will continue to be responsible for technical customer service as well as the commercial part. Hechtl is actively supported by Jürgen Weiss, Manager Parts/Accessories & Homologation, and Alexander Ambrosch, Manager Warranty/Technics, and their teams, all of whom have many years of experience in the company. “With the realignment of the sales and customer service areas, we are well positioned and confident that we will achieve our ambitious goals: In the medium term, we are aiming for a market share of over 3 percent and over 7,500 - 9,000 units per year in Austria,” concluded Christian Heider, Managing Director of Mazda Austria.
