New leadership at AutoScout24

Through his work at Auto1 Group, Nikolaus Menches brings cross-border expertise in online car trading and has many years of experience in online platform business, including at ImmobilienScout24 and GoStudent. Menches has set itself the goal of constantly developing the platform for users and providing car dealers with the best possible support in turbulent times. He takes over the management from Bastian Grühn, who heads the Sales Strategy & Operations function at the Autoscout24 Group at a global level. Bastian Grühn has held the position of Country Manager Austria on an interim basis since March 2022. 

“We are pleased that with Menches, a professional with in-depth know-how from the automotive industry is taking over the helm of AutoScout24 in Austria, who knows the concerns of platform customers first-hand from his time as Head of Sales at the Scout24 Group,” says Michael Luhnen, Chief Sales Officer & Head of International Markets at the AutoScout24 Group. In his role as managing director, Menches will be responsible for AutoScout24's entire operational business in Austria together with second managing director and sales manager Alexander Vysek. Menches most recently worked at GoStudent as Senior Vice President Global Sales and was responsible for scaling sales to more than 20 countries.
