First franchise partner at Lucky Car
25-year-old Viennese Laura Markovic will be Lucky Car's first female franchise partner.

First franchise partner at Lucky Car
The proportion of women employed in the automotive technology association is just 20 percent. And male dominance is also evident among Austrian franchise companies: out of a total of 9,600 franchisees in this country, only 2,100 are women, which corresponds to a share of almost 22 percent. Laura Markovic is completely unimpressed by these numbers. The 25-year-old Viennese dares to become self-employed and becomes the first female franchise partner of Lucky Car, Austria's largest independent vehicle repair shop chain. Markovic takes over the location on Davidgasse in Vienna Favoriten and approaches the new task with high motivation: “I am looking forward to this new challenge and would like to thank Lucky Car for the trust they have placed in me.”
Immediately after graduating from school, Markovic started her professional career at a car cleaning company before moving to Lucky Car and the workshop on Pragerstraße in the same year. "Back then, there was a need for someone who could fill in in the workshop on Saturdays. I really enjoyed that and I also appreciate the family atmosphere in the company. That's how I fell into this industry and now I can't imagine any other way," enthuses Markovic about working with Lucky Car. The joy of the partnership is mutual. Mitar Kos, Managing Director of Lucky Car, is also full of praise: "Laura Markovic scored points during her time with us with her great commitment, willingness to learn and her expertise. We are extremely happy to have won her as a franchise partner." As a franchise partner, Markovic will not only be found behind the desk; she would also like to be actively involved in the workshop: “Rock chip repair is one of my specialties and I will continue to do it myself in the future.”
