With 210,408 motorcycles sold, BMW Motorrad achieved the strongest sales result in its company history in 2024.

Record sales at BMW Motorrad

The main reasons for the successful performance in 2024 were, on the one hand, the convincing product portfolio with successful offers that shape their respective segments as well as the market launches of popular new models such as the powerful BMW M 1000 XR and S 1000 Travel enduro icons BMW R 1300 GS and GS Adventure with the legendary BMW boxer engine. Strong sales in Europe

With 118,727 motorcycles sold, Europe as a whole was by far the strongest sales region for BMW Motorrad. Germany remained the strongest European market with a convincing increase of over 8% compared to the previous year with 26,177 units, followed by France (20,693 units), Italy (16,617 units) and Spain (13,009 units). The Central Europe region also contributed to the very pleasing pan-European result for BMW Motorrad with 11,411 vehicles, an extraordinary increase of over 12% compared to the previous year. In other regions, several important markets for BMW Motorrad were once again able to achieve strong sales performance in 2024. The USA (17,272 units), Brazil (15,267 units), China (13,872 units) and India (8,301 units) made a significant contribution to BMW Motorrad's record results.

Boxer asked again

The boxer models BMW R 1300 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure performed extremely well together with the successfully launched new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure. Over 68,000 customers worldwide chose these three GS icons alone, including the BMW R 1250 GS. But the sporty four-cylinder models from BMW Motorrad also recorded positive sales development. The BMW S 1000 RR underlined its top position and market leadership in the super sports car segment with 11,610 units. Together with the three successful BMW Motorrad M models, 27,148 models with the high-performance four-cylinder engines were delivered worldwide. In the middle class, the renewed F series with the models BMW F 800 GS, F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, F 900 R and F 900 XR also contributed to BMW Motorrad's record results with a total of 40,890 units sold. Another guarantee of success were the agile all-rounders from BMW Motorrad in the displacement segment under 500 cc. By the end of the year, 22,339 units of the BMW G 310 GS, G 310 R and G 310 RR models had been handed over to customers. BMW Motorrad's urban mobility segment around the BMW C 400 GT, C 400
