Polestar expands with Grünzweig

The partnership is the result of the introduction of the non-genuine agency business model, which was recently presented in Austria. As part of this so-called “fake agency model”, Polestar is supplementing its existing online sales with active sales partners. Customers will continue to have the option to configure and order their Polestar online. In addition, they can place their orders with new retail partners via the growing sales network. "The Grünzweig family has been a partner of Polestar from the very beginning. We are all the more pleased to be opening a new chapter in our collaboration and to jointly drive forward the expansion of the brand in Austria," says Ferdinand Schelberger, Managing Director of Polestar Austria.

New “Polestar Space”

Grünzweig Automobile has previously worked as one of a total of 28 service partners and as a Polestar Test Drive Hub. In addition to service and repair services, the location in Wiener Neudorf also offers test drives, advice and vehicle deliveries. In the future, a separate retail location will be created here - a so-called Polestar Space, as can already be found in downtown Vienna. "We believe in Polestar and the potential that lies in the brand. That's why we are pleased to be working together on the future in Austria with our expertise and our committed team," says Philipp Grünzweig, management at Grünzweig Automobil GmbH. In Austria, Polestar announced the introduction of the new sales model at the beginning of July and plans to expand its retail presence with new and existing partner locations. The agreement with Grünzweig Automobile is the next step in this expansion, and in combination with the expanded product portfolio - after the successful launch of Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 at the end of last year, the introduction of the Polestar 5 is planned for 2025 - the company expects to increase both volume and market share in Austria. "We are planning further expansion with additional locations in Austria to support our ambitious growth plans. Sales partners are a key factor for our future success and after the first partners Auto Stahl and Grünzweig Automobile introduced, others will follow by the beginning of next year," concludes Ferdinand Schelberger.
