Together with her two deputy chairmen, Janina Havelka-Janotka and Marko Fischer, the 34-year-old entrepreneur Stefanie Ernst wants to further expand the exchange among members, but also with other stakeholders both inside and outside the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. “Our industry has had to overcome many challenges in recent years and is currently facing major issues such as exorbitantly rising costs in almost all areas,” says Stephanie Ernst, third generation in the family business Rainer Group. “Much of this has to be solved in larger alliances, but it is also important that we advance our industry-specific issues in a targeted manner and with strong involvement of the members.” To this end, the entrepreneur wants to create regular formats to strengthen the dialogue, and activities in the social media area are currently being strongly promoted. Stephanie Ernst has been chairwoman of the Wiedner Wirtschaftsbund Wien since November 2017, chairwoman of the “WKO in the district” of Wieden and deputy district chairwoman of the ÖVP Wieden since October 2022. The mother of a one-year-old son is also very concerned about equality for women.
