Successful Vienna Mobility Days

As part of the Vienna Mobility Days, the operators and employees of Vienna's 1,700 dealers launched an information initiative to answer the most pressing customer questions: Is an electric car worth it for a private buyer? Is hybrid the best solution? And if combustion engine, then diesel or gasoline? Initiator Stephanie Ernst, chairwoman of the Vienna vehicle trade, is pleased with the success of the campaign: "The interest was enormous and the feedback was consistently positive - both from the participating companies and from customers. What is particularly pleasing is that numerous purchases were made as part of the event."

Pleasing upward trend

New car registrations in the recent past are encouraging: After 2024 marked a new high since 2019 with an increase of 6.1 percent, things continued to rise in the first four months of 2025: 4.4 percent in the first quarter and now in April even a strong jump of 16.4 percent year-on-year. “We see that the need for own vehicles is increasing again and many people no longer want to be deprived of the joy of having them,” says Stephanie Ernst. "The increasingly complex technology, the choice of the right drive and the legal and tax framework have significantly increased customers' need for information. And that's exactly what we want to take into account with special information focuses." On May 27th, all those who bought a vehicle as part of the Vienna Mobility Days were drawn three times under notary supervision for a purchase price reduction of 5,000 euros each. Two of the three lucky winners come from the ninth and twelfth districts of Vienna, the third from Hinterbrühl. The Viennese vehicle trade warmly congratulates. Although the Vienna Mobility Days have now ended, the Viennese dealers' information and service offensive will continue until spring 2026.
