The “International Van Of The Year 20232” award was presented at the IAA Transportation in Hanover and went to the ID. Buzz Cargo from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Carsten Intra, Chairman of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) brand board, accepted the award at the VDA “Stars Of The Year” opening evening from Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of the IVOTY jury. This gives the ID. Buzz Cargo1 received this coveted international award before its market launch. The vehicle was developed exclusively for battery-electric transport and is handed over to the customer with a CO2-neutral balance.

IVOTY chairman Jarlath Sweeney presented the award on behalf of the 34 international commercial vehicle journalists who make up the IVOTY jury: "It doesn't happen too often that a completely new vehicle concept emerges and immediately causes such a stir on the market. Congratulations to the development team at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles on this unique vehicle." The battery-electric drive of the ID. Buzz Cargo has an output of 150 kW/204 hp, its combined power consumption is 22.2 to 20.4 kWh/100 km, and there are no CO2 emissions during operation.
