Everything is relative: the Bugatti La Voiture Noire costs 16.7 million euros. That's no longer enough for the title of "most expensive new car in the world". Compared to new holders of this title, the Bugatti is almost cheap.

Rolls Royce has always been the epitome of luxury, but this model sets new standards: With the Boat Tail, the company returns to coachbuilding; a total of no fewer than 1,813 new parts were designed specifically for the 5.80 meter long car.
The model, which is limited to three copies, is said to cost around 23 million euros, making it currently the most expensive new car in the world. Particularly spectacular is the butterfly stern in yacht design, which includes luxurious picnic equipment including a parasol and – of course – a champagne cooler. The deck opens at the push of a button.
Rumors about celebrity buyers
The first model presented is intended for a successful collector couple. According to British media reports, the couple is rumored to be rapper Jay-Z and singer Beyonce. One of several references to this is said to be the blue interior color “Blue Ivy”, which refers to Jay-Z and Beyonce’s nine-year-old daughter Ivy.
With its price tag exceeding the 20 million euro mark, the Boat Tail has dethroned what was recently the most expensive new car in the world: the Bugatti La Voiture Noire is now almost comparatively cheap at just 16.7 million euros.
