AutoFrey is celebrating its 125th anniversary

The Salzburg car trading group AutoFrey with the brands BMW, Mini, Jaguar and Land Rover operates locations in Salzburg, Hallwang, St. Veit, Villach and Steyr. The 100th anniversary was celebrated in 1999, Consul General Catharina Pappas took over the company in 2015, and integration into Pappas Holding took place in 2017. However, AutoFrey's brand identity and independence remained intact, as did its values as a traditionally run family business. Today, the managing directors of the AutoFrey Group are Josef Roider and Wolfgang Kendlbacher. With the takeover of Knöbl GmbH in Steyr, Upper Austria, in 2023, they remain on course for growth. On the 125th anniversary, Josef Roider emphasizes: "Our brands stand for tradition and innovation - and we reflect that as a company. Profound specialist knowledge acquired over the years and a digital customer experience if desired shows that personal advice and digitalization are perfectly compatible." Financial Managing Director Wolfgang Kendlbacher adds: “We were and are very aware of our role as an important and consistent employer in the industry and the regions and attach great importance to the training of new specialists, but also to good working conditions for our existing employees.”

For its anniversary, AutoFrey is bringing a breath of fresh air into its corporate design. The logo now appears more angular and specific, the lines and an integrated arrow as a central design element signal forward-looking dynamics. The company achieved sales of around 200 million euros in 2023, sold around 3,800 new and used vehicles and looked after around 57,000 vehicles in the service centers. The AutoFrey Group employs 297 people, 54 of whom are apprentices.
