Small minus for used cars in the 1st quarter
According to Statistics Austria, 206,675 used cars were registered for use in the first quarter of 2019. That is 0.3% less than in the same quarter of the previous year.
Small minus for used cars in the 1st quarter
Registered used diesel cars (share: 61.7%; -1.8%) recorded declines, while used registrations of gasoline-powered cars (including flex fuel; share: 37.0%; +1.4%) developed positively compared to the first quarter of 2018. Increases among the top 10 passenger car brands were recorded in the first quarter of 2019: Skoda (+8.1%), Mercedes (+3.6%), Seat (+2.3%), Ford (+1.5%), VW (+0.4%), Opel (+0.3%) and BMW (+0.1%). There were declines for the Peugeot (-9.7%), Renault (-7.2%) and Audi (-0.1%) brands.
