Hyundai cooperates with Aviloo
Battery performance plays a crucial role when buying or selling a used electric car, as the condition of the high-voltage battery can account for up to 50 percent of the total value of an electric car. In order to offer Hyundai customers security when purchasing used cars, Hyundai Motor Germany started a pilot test in 2023 in which the first Hyundai dealers were equipped with Aviloo's battery diagnostic devices. The service is now being gradually expanded to all Hyundai Promise locations.
The independent Aviloo Flash Test compares the actual usable energy with the energy that is available when new and, after a three-minute quick test, outputs a so-called Aviloo score. The higher the measured value, the better the battery condition of the high-voltage battery. If there are substantial risks, the flash test provides a “Red Flag” report with specific information about the nature and type of the error. This protects buyers from unpleasant surprises when buying a car. The used car program “Hyundai Promise – Tested Used Cars” includes both used Hyundai vehicles and third-party vehicles. There are currently 263 Hyundai Promise sales points in Germany; around 28,750 Hyundai Promise vehicles were sold last year. "Our corporate values and transparency are fully in line with the Hyundai Promise program. We are therefore pleased to be the selected partner in the field of battery diagnostics," says Marcus Berger, CEO of Aviloo. “We are pleased to be able to offer our customers this special service across Germany in the future,” adds Tobias Krumnikl, Head of Commercial Customers & Used Car Strategy at Hyundai Motor Germany.
