DAT Austria: New managing director

Nils Weber (35) was most recently responsible for the further development of digital business models at the DAT subsidiary Promotor XD. "Nils Weber knows the automotive industry from many different perspectives. Not only is he very experienced with the processes in the automotive trade and claims settlement thanks to his family-owned business, but he also knows very well what needs prevail among manufacturers, importers or other industry players when it comes to the digitization of existing business processes," says Helmut Eifert, DAT Managing Director Innovations and International. Weber's areas of responsibility include expanding activities in the Austrian market, including strengthening relationships with various players such as insurance companies, expert organizations, importer companies, trading groups, mobility providers and banks.

Weber's to-do list also includes the nationwide roll-out of the software solution "weDAT" - a SilverDAT-based and AI-supported software for the digitization of various business processes in the area of vehicle valuation and report creation. “As a specialist in digitalization solutions, Nils will also advance DAT’s activities in the area of artificial intelligence,” says Elmar Groß, Co-Managing Director of DAT Austria and Head of International Business Development at the DAT Group. "I'm looking forward to the new task in Austria. The market is moving faster than ever before, and we have solutions based on the latest technologies for our customers," says Nils Weber, who studies business administration and has a master's degree from the University of Würzburg with a focus on information management. During this time he also studied at universities in France and Great Britain. Since 2018, he has helped build the consulting business of the DAT consulting subsidiary. He later led the subsidiary's digital business development. Weber will succeed his predecessor Alexander Steinwender in Vienna with effect from July 1st.
