Garanta has a heart for families

Stefan Traunmüller from Garanta's management is pleased about the award: "Since we were awarded the basic certificate 16 years ago, our constant efforts to balance work and family life have been repeatedly confirmed by recertification. We are pleased that we have succeeded in doing so again this year." The certificate was recently handed over at a ceremony by Bernadett Humer, Head of the Family and Youth Section in the Federal Chancellery, on behalf of Federal Minister Susanne Raab. A number of measures and initiatives were decisive for the award, such as increasing employee satisfaction through the development and expansion of health-related events, family-friendly working hours with various part-time model variants or the inclusion of employees on leave in the information measures.

Flexible home office

“Balancing family and work is not always easy and presents a major challenge for many parents and those who have to look after relatives,” explains human resources manager Martina Emhofer. In recent years, Garanta Insurance has therefore introduced a flexible home office regulation with a limit of up to 50%. “Our employees can arrange this in coordination with the manager; half days in the office and home office are also possible,” says Emhofer. In addition, core working hours were abolished. This makes longer lunch breaks possible, for example.
