Electric company car in pole position

After Raiffeisen-Leasing Fleet Management (RLFPM) signed more new contracts for electric vehicles than for conventional combustion engines for the first time in the first half of 2022, at 51 percent, this share increased to a record-breaking 58 percent in the first six months of 2023. “We should stop talking about ‘alternative drives’ because the current registration figures confirm that electromobility is becoming more and more the standard,” says Renato Eggner, Managing Director of RLFPM. 78.9 percent of all newly registered fully electric vehicles are company cars. At RLFPM, 51.1 percent (2022: 42.5 percent) of newly registered company vehicles were fully electric vehicles (BEV), while the share of hybrid vehicles (PHEV and HEV) fell slightly to 6.9 percent (2022: 8.5 percent). Around a third of newly registered company cars are powered by diesel (2022: 38.6 percent) and 7.8 percent (2022: 10.4 percent) are gasoline engines.

The models Y and 3 from the US manufacturer Tesla and the Skoda Enyaq are particularly popular with RLFPM's corporate customers. The ranking shows that the Volkswagen Group's electric models are in demand with a corresponding gap to the market leader.  Newcomer Polestar is also in the top ten. Renato Eggner: “Since we offer our financing and fleet services independently of manufacturers, we can offer needs-oriented advice that fits the mobility profiles and financial resources of the respective companies.” Raiffeisen-Leasing is not only limited to financing electric vehicles, but also has extensive expertise in the areas of charging infrastructure as well as photovoltaics and buffer storage. In addition, a greenhouse gas reduction bonus (GHG bonus for short) is now also offered with the Raiffeisen Leasing e-car bonus.
