OBFCM registration of OBD readers

A necessary prerequisite for this is the registration of the OBD reading device of your §57a company by entering it once in the EBV assessment program at the ZBD. We'll show you how it works:

On the Automotive Services overview page, click on the “Toolbox”. In the “Device Management” tile, select “Create Device”.

A dialog box appears. Please select “Manual” in the drop-down menu for the entry type and confirm the selection with “Apply”.

In the next step, enter the relevant device data in the fields provided. Please pay particular attention to correctly entering the serial number of the OBD connector. This is often found directly on the OBD connector and is identified by the abbreviation “SN”. Then save the entered device data.

A dialog box will appear asking you if you want to register the device in the ZBD. ATTENTION: Registration of the device in the ZBD is only possible from May 20, 2023!

After successful registration, you will see the token for your OBD reading device generated during registration in the ZBD in the “Registration” tab, in the device information area. You have now successfully completed the registration process! Congratulations!
