EBV: Did you already know that?

New suitable persons can only be created by the relevant motor vehicle department of the state government. As a prerequisite, the training according to PBStV §3 paragraphs 3 and 4 must be completed. Following the training, the data of the suitable person is entered into the educational passport database of the Federal Automotive Engineering Guild and recorded via an interface in the ZBD (Central Assessment Badge Database). Only then can the responsible motor vehicle department of the state government assign the new suitable person to an assessment center. The next time the EBV is synchronized with the ZBD, the data of the suitable person will be automatically transferred to the EBV.

Here too, the state government is responsible, which can assign the suitable person to another assessment body in the ZBD or deactivate the suitable person. Please note that if a suitable person leaves your assessment office, you should inform the state government accordingly about the employee's departure.

As soon as the state government has assigned the suitable person to an assessment center in the ZBD, they can log in to the EBV once using the education pass number as a user name and password. Please pay attention to the format of the education passport number (xx.xxx). After the first login, the user is asked to fill out the user account completely and enter a new password.

Please make sure that your contact details are always up to date and that you have entered your correct (personal) email address. This is the only way to ensure that you receive important information about legal and technical changes relating to §57a. In addition, in the event that you have forgotten your password, a link to reset your password will be sent to the email address specified in the user profile.

If you have forgotten your password, you can visit the login page ( https://ebv.automotive.at ) of Automotive Services under “Forgotten Password” to request a link to reset your old password. A link to reset your password will be sent to the email address provided in your user profile.

The following information about the assessment body is printed on the report:
● Company name
● Address
● Email address
● Telephone number
This data can only be changed by the state government in the ZBD. During the next synchronization between the EBV and the ZBD, the data will be updated automatically. Since the assessment body is already obliged to report any changes to the data of the assessment body to the state government, there is no additional effort for operations. If you are unsure whether the state government has already made the change, our colleagues in the Automotive Services support team will be happy to help you.
