Admission figures in international comparison
The tables show changes of ownership (re-registrations) in a selection of markets in which DAT is represented by subsidiaries and associated companies.
While ownership transfers fell in Germany, numerous European markets such as Austria, France and Italy were able to stabilize or even increase. Looking at the percentage changes illustrates the different trends in the different markets in Europe and worldwide. Italy had one of the largest increases in Europe with +13.2 percent. Globally, this was the case in China with an increase of +22.6 percent. Re-registrations fell the most in Turkey with -7.1 percent and in Germany with -4.5 percent.
It is also interesting to compare the numbers of used and new cars within a country. A look at Austria, for example, shows that the percentage decrease in new registrations (-3.6 percent) was exactly as large as the increase in GW re-registrations (+3.6 percent). In Germany, on the other hand, both markets declined. A notable market is Italy, where ownership transfers rose by +13.2 percent and new registrations rose by +5.5 percent.
