New ARBÖ center in Salzburg
After around a year of construction, the new test center on Munich Bundesstrasse 117 in the city of Salzburg was completed. The new building has three drive-through boxes on 1,300 square meters in which up to eight vehicles can be worked on at the same time. In addition, a tire depot for up to 1,800 tires and a spacious training room were built. “This means,” says Peter Rezar, President of the ARBÖ federal organization, “we have the perfect conditions to not only professionally implement our services in the entire Salzburg region, but also to be able to expand them even further.” A total of ten technicians are employed in the new test center and have a state-of-the-art workplace. "From our new location, we look after around 7,500 members in Salzburg city and the immediate surroundings. The tasks range from classic breakdown assistance to all technical services, the §57a assessment, various checks, such as climate checks, small repairs or purchase tests," says Manfred Gruber, President of ARBÖ Salzburg, looking forward to the new location in Salzburg- Liefering.
The new building became necessary because the previous state headquarters and the attached test center were getting old. The support of all 25,000 members in the entire state of Salzburg can be carried out even more professionally from the new location. The employees in the national organization take care of all members' concerns and ensure that all administrative activities run smoothly. "With this new building, the ARBÖ is consistently continuing its path of renewal. In recent years, the ARBÖ has invested a total of more than 30 million euros in the construction and renovation of test centers throughout Austria. This enables optimal and up-to-date member support and the ARBÖ presents itself in Salzburg as a reliable, modern and friendly mobility partner," says Peter Rezar happily on the occasion of the official opening. The ARBÖ technicians covered a whopping 500,000 kilometers across the entire state in 2022 alone to go on a total of around 8,300 missions. "These figures impressively demonstrate that the ARBÖ takes on an important task. We can fix 9 out of 10 breakdowns right on the spot, which means our members can continue the journey with almost no loss of time," Manfred Gruber concluded.
