Exclusive electricity filling station
Porsche opens its first charging station exclusively for brand customers.

Exclusive electricity filling station
The six DC fast charging stations in Koblach on the Rhine Valley Motorway are exclusively available to Porsche drivers. The charging station is open around the clock, offers high charging performance in a pleasant atmosphere and central processing of charging costs. All Porsche electric and plug-in hybrid models are supplied with certified green electricity here. The fast charging stations currently have a maximum output of 300 kW, but are prepared for even faster charging of up to 400 kW per charging point, which will be possible in the future. In the glass-enclosed lounge, friendly colors and light wood create a feel-good atmosphere. The Porsche Charging Lounge in Koblach is heated and air-conditioned using a heat pump that runs without fossil fuels. The photovoltaic system on the roof supplies part of the electricity required. Digital building management optimizes power consumption and, for example, automatically dims the lighting when there are no guests on site.
To ensure a pleasant stay, there are modern sanitary facilities in the lounge area as well as a well-stocked selection of soft drinks and snacks. Analogue and digital media as well as a powerful WiFi network are also available. The Porsche Charging Lounge in Koblach, like all other Porsche fast charging stations, is integrated into the Porsche Charging Service, is displayed in the navigation system and can currently be used exclusively for Porsche customers. Thanks to the Porsche Charging Service, charging costs of 33 cents per kilowatt hour are on the same level as all other fast charging stations in the Porsche network. A Porsche ID is required to gain access to the charging stations and the lounge area. This must be linked to the vehicle. If the license plate is also stored in the Porsche ID, the barrier opens automatically using license plate recognition. “Our new Porsche Charging Lounge is tailored to the needs of Porsche drivers on long journeys,” said Helmut Eggert, Managing Director of the Porsche brand in Austria, at the official opening.
