E-mobility made in Austria

Power2Drive Europe, which is taking place at the Munich exhibition center, has already seen strong interest in new products and solutions for e-mobility and charging infrastructure from both exhibitors and visitors. It was therefore necessary to expand the exhibition area to 13,000 square meters in two exhibition halls. This year there is also more space and opportunities for demonstrations in the outdoor area, covering a total of 4,000 square meters. Test drives are organized here to enable trade fair visitors to experience e-mobility directly. Last year, the “eCar Test Drive” was quickly booked up, thanks in part to the German trade fair premiere of the Skoda Enyaq. This year, test drives with electric vehicles for the last mile and daily use in the light commercial vehicle sector are also planned in the outdoor area.

At the Power2Drive Europe Outdoor Area, companies will also be presenting charging solutions for fleets, including power generation from renewable energy. The presentations are aimed at a mixed audience of experts from the areas of installation, planning, fleet management, operation of charging stations and e-mobility solutions. The focus is on solar roofing for parking spaces, as several federal states in Germany have already decided on a requirement for solar systems on new, open parking areas with at least 35 to 100 parking spaces. In France, too, solar systems in parking lots are to be made mandatory across the country. But photovoltaic systems on carports are also interesting for private households. Many companies and property owners also rely on the direct combination of PV with a charging solution in order to be able to charge electric vehicles cheaply.
