Banner's second pillar

As a provider of electricity storage for mobile and stationary applications, the Banner Group is launching an offensive in the area of energy storage solutions for critical infrastructures. The company recently invested ten million euros in building a new location for its Energy Solutions business unit in Thalheim near Wels. “In order to develop tailor-made solutions that are tailored precisely to the individual requirements of our customers, we combine our broad product portfolio with decades of expertise in the battery industry,” emphasizes Andreas Bawart, commercial director of the Banner Group.

Banner batteries are used in everything from electric forklifts and aerial work platforms to self-propelled transport systems, tractors and floor cleaning machines. In the leisure sector, the Banner power packs are used in golf carts, campers, boats and caravans. In addition, they enable efficient storage of alternatively generated electricity and guarantee reliable availability to ensure a constant energy supply. In the event of a blackout, tailor-made energy storage solutions play an important role, especially for critical infrastructures such as hospitals, but also in security devices such as alarm systems, emergency lighting or fire protection systems. Permanent operational readiness of the energy storage is also essential for IT and telecommunications systems. Safety and emergency power batteries ensure a constant energy supply, protect against power outages and voltage fluctuations and thus secure communication and protect against data loss.

Since the opening of the Thalheim site near Wels in June 2022, the Energy Solutions business unit has been continuously preparing to meet the future significant increase in demand for energy storage solutions and at the same time to open up new markets. “Our goal is to continue to offer innovative solutions and expand our presence on an international level in order to meet the needs of our customers worldwide,” sums up Andreas Bawart, commercial director of the Banner Group.
