Together with license partner Leoch, battery specialist Banner wants to gain a foothold in the promising Chinese sales market.

Banner expands into China
Banner is expanding on the Chinese market through the battery manufacturer Leoch through a licensing partnership, whereby innovative applications for new areas of application will also be jointly pursued. “In accordance with our “Agenda 2030”, in which we focus on opening up new markets in Asia and America, cooperating with partners outside Europe and opening up to new technologies, we want to build a prominent position in one of the world's largest sales markets for starter and on-board batteries," says Andreas Bawart, the commercial director of the Banner Group. Until now, Banner was present on the local Chinese market through individual customers.
Leoch, an internationally known and market-leading Chinese battery producer that sells its products in over 100 countries around the world and achieves annual sales of over 1.9 billion US dollars, will in future manufacture certain premium products under the word-image brand Banner in China and offer them to the Chinese market. "Our license partner produces and sells a selection of its premium products according to the highest quality standards under our brand name Banner. This enables us to significantly expand our reputation in China," says Andreas Bawart. Leoch owner and chairman Dong Li on the new licensing partnership: "Banner already has a very good reputation in Asia thanks to its decades-long commitment as an original equipment manufacturer. In addition, the Banner brand has an attractive appearance and its products are powerful and high quality."
