AutoScout24 takes over majority of AUTOproff

AutoScout24 has signed an agreement to acquire the majority of shares in AUTOproff, one of the fastest growing European B2B platforms for used vehicles. AUTOproff's management team will retain a stake in the company and continue to run the business. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2022. 

With this acquisition, AutoScout24 is adding wholesale to its offering, enabling car dealers across Europe to purchase and sell vehicles digitally, both at retail and wholesale. With the acquisition of AUTOproff, AutoScout24 dealers will gain access to new sources for their vehicle inventory and new solutions to increase the efficiency of their trade-in and wholesale business.

AUTOproff is a digital vehicle B2B platform that enables dealers to seamlessly purchase and sell vehicles via online auctions. AUTOproff has had an impressive growth record since its founding in 2013, auctioning over 120,000 vehicles in 2021. The merger with AutoScout24 is intended to help accelerate AUTOproff's European expansion.
