New guild master in Lower Austria

Karl Scheibelhofer had been a member of the guild committee since 1990 and was deputy state guild master from 2006 to 2014. and state guild champion since summer 2014. As a member of the Federal Guild Committee, he also played a key role in shaping the fortunes of the automotive technology industry during this period. At numerous industry meetings with professional representatives from other countries, Karl Scheibelhofer was able to successfully represent Austria's vehicle technicians abroad. At the turn of the year, he resigned from his functions and handed over the reins to his previous deputy, Gerald Kisser, who runs a brand-independent vehicle workshop in Eggenburg.

Karl Scheibelhofer was a co-initiator of the motor vehicle arbitration board, which was set up and operated by the state vehicle technology guild together with the AKNÖ. He always had very close contact with the state vocational schools and was open to their concerns. Among other things, he initiated the “Career Booster”, a further training program for apprentices who have successfully completed their final apprenticeship examination. The lively and extremely constructive exchange with the departments RU6 and WST8, which are responsible for § 57a KFG matters of the office of the Lower Austrian state government, is also thanks to his commitment. "Stubborn health problems and increasing age have recently made me realize that it is time to go," said Scheibelhofer, and continued: "In view of the rapid and radical change that is currently emerging in our business area, the management of the state guild belongs in younger hands. I wish my successor Gerald Kisser all the best."
