“With the ÖAMTC as a partner, we can guarantee clean and fair billing for climate-conscious drivers,” says Wolf Gerlach, Head of Operations in the Uniqa Insurance Group: In addition, Uniqa employees and customers benefit from an additional internal quota at their own charging points. For example, in Vienna's Uniqa Tower, which is one of the largest such garage projects in Austria. "After extensive preliminary and consultation discussions, we installed charging stations and wallboxes at Uniqa locations from Vorarlberg to Vienna. In addition, we are taking over the further support and administration of the new infrastructure," summarizes Ernst Kloboucnik, Öamtc regional director for Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland.

Currently, almost 14 percent of all newly registered cars in Austria are purely electrically powered. This puts Austria in an excellent third place in the EU. Öamtc offers club members their own, publicly accessible charging infrastructure with Öamtc ePower. E-cars can charge via app, optionally with a charging card, at transparent and quantity-based tariffs. The Öamtc ePower app is available free of charge in the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). It includes an interactive map with all available charging stations in the Öamtc ePower charging and partner network and an overview of charging processes, current costs and bills. Non-members can also take advantage of the offer using a QR code and direct payment. Uniqa has been promoting electromobility since the beginning and gives climate-conscious drivers 25 percent off their motor vehicle liability premiums. “As Uniqa, we are committed to the Paris climate goals and want to be climate neutral in Austria by 2040,” emphasizes René Knapp, Board Member for Sustainability, HR and Brand in the Uniqa Insurance Group.
