VW receives innovation award
The Volkswagen Group was honored with the Automotive Innovations Award from the Center of Automotive Management as the most innovative automotive group in the world.

VW receives innovation award
The award, presented annually since 2011 by the Center of Automotive Management (CAM) in Bergisch Gladbach, examines and evaluates the technological and innovative strength of international automobile manufacturers and suppliers. Among the 30 companies considered worldwide, the Volkswagen Group achieved the highest score in the main category of innovative strength in the Automotive Innovations Award 2025 - ahead of competitors from China and Europe. CAM also recognized the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand as the most innovative volume brand and Audi as the most innovative premium brand. In addition, the Volkswagen Group and its brands achieved top rankings in selected innovation categories. With the Audi Q6 e-tron, which was recognized as one of the most innovative models, the premium brand underlines its leadership in electromobility and connectivity. At the same time, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, as a volume brand with top rankings in the “Electric Drive” and “Infotainment & Connectivity” categories, shows how it makes technological innovations accessible to a broad target group.
Convincing world firsts
In its decision, the CAM particularly highlighted individual innovation achievements. In particular, world innovations in the field of electromobility stood out, such as the new engine variant of the ID.3 GTX with a range of 604 km (WLTP), making it the highest in the segment. The brands also impressed the brands with the CAM in the area of infotainment and connectivity - for example with over-the-air updates to increase the charging performance of the ID.3 and the ability of the Audi A6 to optimize route planning in real time using swarm data from networked vehicles. "The award as the most innovative automobile company is great evidence of the successful work we have done in the past. The awards are also an incentive for us to continue bringing technologies onto the road that inspire people," said Oliver Blume, CEO of the Volkswagen Group.
