Stellantis presents its new, long-term strategy

The last two years in particular have shown how much mobility is changing: Hardly any major automobile manufacturer has not presented a “new” strategy for the next years and decades. In summary, it is always primarily about giving new technologies more space - both in terms of drive systems and digital services - and thus positioning oneself more sustainably on the market. Although the automobile industry is still largely responsible for prosperity and many jobs, it is facing a cold, ecological headwind. The boys can do without cars. The feeling of freedom is being redefined and the ecological conscience is becoming much more central to our lives than ever before.

Carlos Tavares CEO Stellantis

Under the motto “Dare Forward 2030” (which translates as: dare forward), CEO Carlos Tavares has now presented his far-reaching corporate strategy:

“Driven by diversity, Stellantis is shaping the mobility of tomorrow by providing innovative, clean, safe and affordable mobility solutions.

Stellantis will lead the industry in mitigating climate change – with a reduction the CO2-emissions around 50 percent by 2030 and Net zero emissions by 2038. Taking a leadership role in decarbonization and a decisive step forward in the circular economy is our contribution to a sustainable future.

As part of this leadership role, we are setting the course for that by the end of this decade 100 percent of sales in Europe and 50 percent of sales in the United States battery electric vehicles (BEV) will be. We plan, more than 75 BEVs by 2030 on the market and have one Global annual BEV sales of five million vehicles to reach."
