In 2023, the BMW Group in Austria achieved another record year: with sales of around 8.9 billion euros - an increase of over 17 percent compared to the previous year - the company achieved the highest sales in the company's history. The BMW Group plant in Steyr recorded record results in the 2023 financial year with sales of over 4.2 billion euros. The commitment to the business location was also consistently continued: 361 million euros were invested in Austria in 2023 - around one million euros per day.

The reasons for the successful performance in 2023 are the convincing product portfolio of the BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad brands, a significant increase in sales and the high capacity utilization at the BMW Group plant in Steyr. This ensures a significant increase in employment: in 2023, the BMW Group had 5,520 employees in Austria, an increase of over four percent or an increase of 260 employees compared to the previous year. 4,700 of them work at the BMW Group plant in Steyr.
