Werner Tietz succeeds Michael Steiner, who, in addition to his role as Board Member for Research and Development at Porsche AG, now takes on the additional role of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Porsche AG. Both board members carry out these tasks in conjunction with each other. His work stands for future-oriented development, from sustainable materials to the electrification strategy. With this extensive expertise, he will further advance the Volkswagen Group's research and development," says Oliver Blume, CEO of the Volkswagen Group. His predecessor, Michael Steiner, made a significant contribution to positioning the Volkswagen Group as a future-oriented mobility group. This includes building powerful electrical and electronic architectures, focusing on software-defined vehicles and opening up to global technology partnerships.
