The automobile cluster of the Upper Austrian location agency Business Upper Austria also regularly organizes Future Mobility Talks, which are also ideal for professional exchange. Presentations at international trade fairs help to make Upper Austria's innovative strength and skills visible worldwide. At the same time, vehicle manufacturers and large suppliers are targeted in order to pave their way to Upper Austria and intensify cooperation.
"The automotive industry in Upper Austria is on the fast track towards future mobility. Our automotive cluster acts as an accelerator with its services and initiatives," explains Provincial Councilor Achleitner. The recent “Future Mobility Region Open Doors” event at the BMW Group plant in Steyr provided exciting insights into the mobility industry and the innovative strength of companies and research institutions in Upper Austria. One focus was the presentation of flagship projects that could only be realized through intensive regional cooperation. "In Upper Austria there are many best practices that show what can be achieved through cooperation. Regional networking is our great strength in Upper Austria. It ensures that companies develop together, that innovations happen and that companies can use short and stable logistics and value chains as a location advantage," emphasized Provincial Councilor Achleitner.
Upper Austria's automotive industry includes 280 companies and research institutions. It generates around 11.6 billion euros in sales and employs more than 31,000 people.
