Haute couture for MG

Jozef Kabaň has been hired as the new Vice President of SAIC Motor's Global Design Center and in this position will be responsible for the design of MG products. The internationally renowned designer can point to an impressive portfolio of contemporary automobile design. In 2014, for example, he prepared the brand's current design language with the Škoda VisionC and then implemented it in numerous Škoda vehicles. With the design of the Bugatti Veyron, he also made a sensational statement in the luxury segment. The 51-year-old Slovakian began his career as a designer at Volkswagen and then moved to Audi, where he was promoted to head of exterior design in 2007. From 2008 he took on a similar role at Škoda and, as the responsible designer, initiated the change in the brand's current design language. In 2017 he moved to BMW, where he took over the management of design for the Rolls-Royce subsidiary from 2019. In January 2020, Kabaň returned to Volkswagen and, among other things, developed the design of the ID. Buzz, with which he succeeded in transforming a long vehicle tradition into the age of electric mobility.
