Evetta is coming in 2024

VDL Nedcar is one of the largest European contract manufacturers with sales of over two billion euros. "We are happy to have found not only a production location in VDL Nedcar, but also a financially stable, healthy and innovative company that will build our vehicles," says Ralf Haller, CEO and founder of ElectricBrands, happily. "VDL Nedcar will support us competently and with a lot of experience in the further development of our fleet. Our customers who are ordering or have ordered one of our vehicles will also benefit from this." The Dutch automobile manufacturer based in Born produces vehicles or parts for various automobile manufacturers in Europe with around 4,000 employees and 1,400 robots. Since mid-2014, more than a million cars have come off the assembly line at the VDL production facility, as well as large quantities of car parts.

VDL Nedcar is a family business with its own research and development department that has set itself long-term goals. VDL is convinced that the L7e class of light electric vehicles, which includes the XBUS and the Evetta, has great potential for future mobility. “With the vehicles developed by ElectricBrands, we can help shape the future of mobility together in our Mobility Innovation Center,” says VDL Nedcar CEO John van Soerland, and continues: “We have enough capacity to cover ElectricBrands’ current order volume, but also future order peaks and long-term orders.” XBUS and Evetta are produced at the VDL Nedcar factory in Born, the easternmost point of the Netherlands, not far from Aachen and Düsseldorf. “The location with good logistical connections in a central location between Germany and the Benelux countries contributed to our choosing VDL Nedcar as our production partner,” explains managing director Ralf Haller. Production of the Evetta with the so-called pilot series and the first delivery to dealers is planned for the beginning of 2024, shortly afterwards the first end customers will be able to take delivery of the vehicle. The XBus will follow a year later.
