The green overall winner

The purely electric Dacia Spring marks a new standard for automotive sustainability with five stars and an overall rating of 9.9. A key argument for the agile electric car: thanks to its attractive starting price, it makes electromobility affordable for broader sections of the population. The Green NCAP test (NCAP stands for New Car Assessment Program) serves as a benchmark for environmentally friendly automobiles. The Dacia Spring not only achieves excellent 10.0 results in the Clean Air and Greenhouse Gas Index but also, with 9.8 points, the never-before-achieved top score of 9.8 in the Energy Efficiency Index. Above all, the compact electric drive train and the low curb weight contribute to the excellent overall result.

The charging efficiency of the Dacia Spring is also impressive: according to the Green NCAP test, 89 percent of the energy taken from the power grid is available after the battery has been charged. The test results prove that the Spring is an environmentally friendly car, not only because of the lack of local pollutant emissions, but also because of its low energy consumption. It also scores points with its low curb weight and agile driving characteristics. Thanks to the range of 305 kilometers in WLTP city mode, the Dacia model proves to be the ideal solution, especially in classic commuter driving. The average daily driving distance of Dacia Spring drivers is 31 kilometers at an average speed of 26 km/h. This means: The Dacia electric model normally allows unrestricted mobility for around a week without having to recharge. Since its market launch in 2021, Dacia customers have ordered the Spring over 100,000 times worldwide. On the European private market, the Dacia Spring is one of the top three electric models across all segments.
