ARBÖ stocks up on charging stations

There are now more than 70,000 electric vehicles on Austrian roads. 33,000 electric cars were sold in 2021 alone, and the trend towards locally emission-free driving will continue in the future. This also increases the need for charging points. There are currently sufficient charging options for electric vehicles in Austria, but the infrastructure must also keep pace with the increasing number of new registrations. That's why ARBÖ is cooperating with the Carinthian charging infrastructure manufacturer go-e and is equipping all of its locations throughout Austria with mobile-use go-e charging stations.

Flexible charging

Depending on the equipment variant, the charging boxes can be connected to red CEE 16 or 32 A sockets (380 volt three-phase current). These are a common connection for many machines in private households, industrial and commercial businesses. "The advantage of the go-eCharger HOME+ is the flexibility and the integrated, modern charging management, with numerous intelligent functions for a wide range of requirements. The wall box can be installed without an electrician, removed from the wall mount within seconds and can be taken with you in the car if necessary due to the compact design. With the charger, an electric car can even be charged on the go using an adapter using a household socket. Depending on the variant, the boxes achieve a maximum charging capacity of 11 or 11, respectively, on a red three-phase socket 22 kW, which corresponds to today's charging standard," says Erich Groiss, technical coordinator at ARBÖ, about the start of the cooperation.

Charging stations made in Austria

For go-e, the partnership with the ARBÖ proves the growing dynamics of the change from combustion engines to electric drives: "More and more people are switching to electric cars in the spirit of climate protection, because they have long been suitable for everyday use. With the go-eCharger HOME+, the ARBÖ is now responding to the individual charging needs of its members and is further expanding its electric car expertise. We are very pleased that we can support the ARBÖ with smart charging stations, made in Austria," explains Oliver Steiner from Charging technology manufacturer go-e. "We are convinced that flexible charging solutions are becoming increasingly important. By working with go-e, the ARBÖ is ideally equipped for the challenges of the future," conclude Groiss and Steiner in unison.
