Technical innovations, new legal regulations and service requirements: In order to keep up with developments on the market, the employees of the qualified Reifendandel must continually expand their know-how and their practical skills. The tire manufacturer Continental supports them with a comprehensive training program. “In the current situation with significantly limited travel and overnight accommodation options, many of our customers find it difficult to send their employees to face-to-face events,” says Karsten Wiebking, Head of Contiacademy. “That’s why we have supplemented our training offering with virtual classroom training, with which we offer our customers added value through current topics in addition to classic tire topics – such as Vecto and electromobility.”

The nine new virtual training courses Contiacademy offer compact content in 90 minutes and are moderated live. This means that interaction with participants is possible at any time and individual questions can be answered immediately. The direct exchange between each other should offer a lively form of knowledge transfer. Participation is very simple: The only requirement for using the Virtual Classroom training is access to a computer with an internet connection and a microphone.

“On the one hand, we see this as an opportunity to provide short and concise training on current topics quickly and promptly,” says Wiebking. "On the other hand, the training can be used as a compact, theoretical introduction to a topic. If you then want to deepen the knowledge you have acquired, you can do so in one of our face-to-face seminars. We are continuously expanding our current training offering for our customers and thus offer the opportunity to always be up to date with the latest knowledge on the subject of tires," says Wiebking.
