Training offensive by the Federal Vehicle Technology Guild
In the AutoFunk podcast on September 9th, Federal Guild Master Roman Keglovits-Ackerer describes the new training strategy.

Training offensive by the Federal Vehicle Technology Guild
Based on the needs and challenges for the automotive industry, new approaches to training and further education emerged. There are currently 107,593 young people in Austria undergoing dual training. With 9,000 apprentices in 3,000 training companies, vehicle technicians are at the forefront. The strong interest in the vehicle industry, combined with rapid technological development, requires us all to be highly vigilant and flexible. The Competence Center for Training and Further Education in the Federal Automotive Technology Guild has therefore developed a new strategy based on the National Qualifications Framework. At the same time, this strategy is designed in such a way that new market conditions can be responded to immediately. Because vehicle technology requires all kinds of skilled workers. From vehicle assistants to specialists. Be it high-voltage, diagnostic, dent technician or caravan technician. This also applies to less technical areas such as customer service advisors or mobility consultants, where “soft skills” in customer dialogue are particularly in demand.
Not all legal framework conditions for this approach are currently in place. Intensive discussions are already underway within the Chamber of Commerce to incorporate this new, step-by-step strategy into a legal framework.
