Motor vehicle championship title to show off

Since August 1, 2020, master mechanics have been able to have their master's title entered in public documents such as passports, ID cards or driving licenses. According to the rules, the abbreviation is Mst.in or Mst. Apprenticeship in automotive technology with a master's degree is a career choice for a secure future and is becoming increasingly popular. More and more motor vehicle companies in Austria are creating training places for apprentices and providing qualified specialist personnel for training to become automotive technicians. Federal Guild Master Josef Harb explains: "Almost 10% of all young people in Austria choose a motor vehicle profession. It is particularly pleasing that the proportion of female apprentices has increased in recent years. The law on the national qualification framework from 2016, which equated the apprenticeship qualification with an AHS school-leaving examination, is now being expanded to include the master's title, which is formally equivalent to a bachelor's degree."
