Second calibration laboratory for exhaust gas measuring devices from AVL DiTest
High quality standards have characterized the solutions from the Austrian automotive diagnostics and measurement technology specialist AVL DiTest for more than 20 years. Since the beginning of 2019, exhaust gas measuring devices at the Cadolzburg site in Germany have been successfully calibrated in our own accredited laboratory in accordance with the international standard DIN EN ISO 17025. The German subsidiary, responsible for service worldwide, issued over 10,000 calibration certificates during the first year
The experience gained from this is now also being used in the Austrian headquarters. With the accreditation of its own calibration laboratory for exhaust gas measuring devices in Graz, AVL DiTest is further expanding its competencies. Customers now receive a calibration certificate for their gasoline and diesel measuring devices upon delivery from the Graz production facility. The measured variables turbidity coefficient and different gas concentrations are calibrated. This is unique among device manufacturers. “We are the only laboratory in Austria accredited according to ISO 17025 for these measurements.” says Reinhold Hetzel, Head of Production & Industrial Engineering, proudly. “A special quality seal that shows our customers how we are constantly developing and improving our quality requirements.”
The next expansion steps are already planned. The two AVL DiTest calibration laboratories will be used in the future for particle measuring devices and products from other business areas. The focus is primarily on devices for electromobility.
