Two sports cars on your wrist: This watch costs half a million euros

The cult film franchise “The Fast & The Furious” has now released nine films. Now she is honoring Jacob & Co with a luxury watch of which exactly as many examples were built: There are only supposed to be nine of the “Fast & Furious Twin Turbo”. The luxury watch celebrates the 20th anniversary of the film series.
But that has its price: the limited timepiece costs the equivalent of around 490,000 euros. Just to put this in perspective: The BMW M1 AHG owned by the late Fast & Furious film star Paul Walker fetched $461,000, or just 390,000 euros, at an online auction earlier this year. Seen this way, the car, of which there are only ten examples, was almost a bargain.
In return, the customers of Jacob & Co receive a watch with two tourbillion devices, a decimal minute repeater, a monopusher chronograph and a pit board function for comparing two stopped times. The latter can be understood as a reminiscence of the classic quarter-mile race. According to Jacob & Co., all of the features are not combined in any other watch. As a further reference to the Hollywood flicks, the front shows a starter girl with a checkered checkered flag and two vehicles. There is an engraving on the back of the Ur.
