We show what we want to show
A new study on e-mobility packs what is actually good news into many doubts - unfortunately.

We show what we want to show
“Traffic is our problem child when it comes to climate change,” says Leonore Gewessler at the presentation new e-mobility study. The core message of the study: E-mobility will create over 7,000 new jobs in Austria and increase value creation in this area by 19 percent to four billion euros by 2030. Good news. But unfortunately the presentation of the study was incomplete: How exactly does this happen? Where do the skilled workers come from? How exactly is the supply industry supported for this change? And most importantly: Is the plus in the e-mobility sector offset against the minus in the remaining automotive suppliers? In the end, more questions remain unanswered than there were answers. Particularly bitter: The study refers to pre-Corona numbers. The fact that Corona has permanently changed the mobility industry must be incorporated into a study like this or the presentation must be postponed if it is no longer relevant. So a good opportunity remains wasted because the impression remains: We only show what we want to show.
