In this year's ÖAMTC winter tire test, the Continental WinterContact TS860 was chosen as the winner in both dimensions.

The results of the ÖAMTC winter tire test with its partners revealed three findings:
- Der Contintal WinterContact TS860 konnte sowohl der Dimension 175/65/ R14 T als auch in 205/55 R16 H vollends überzeugen und sicherte sich den Testsieg.
- Bei den 16-Zöllern lagen Conti, Goodyear und Dunlop fast gleichauf, die Unterschiede waren minimal
- Premiumreifen müssen nicht zwingend besser als preisgünstigere Modelle sein
What was particularly pleasing was the good, wide midfield and there was only one tire in each dimension that failed. Striking: Semperit was again at the bottom of the points evaluation with both test models. Thomas Stix, ÖAMTC tire expert, summarizes: "Premium brands are not automatically better. In the broad midfield, you can probably find premium brands as well as brands from the middle and lower price segments."
