Win-win situation for companies
The Federal Guild of Automotive Technology, the IFL and the automotive industry provide information on how we correct errors and deficiencies in working hours. Part four of the twelve-part series.

Win-win situation for companies
It's about avoiding errors and deficiencies in working hours," says Erik Papinski, Federal Guild Master of Body Builders and President of the AIRC (World Association of Body and Vehicle Builders). It is important that as many companies as possible know about this service and, above all, use it, says Papinski. What exactly is it about? The interest group for vehicle technology and painting (IFL) was founded in 2007 and sees itself as an interest group for the body and painting industry. It represents both the repairing and painting specialist companies as well as the interests of the automotive experts. The primary goal is to identify errors and defects in the working times for bodywork and painting work in the common computer-supported calculation systems (Eurotax, Schwacke, DAT, Audatex) and to correct them in dialogue with the respective damage calculation provider and the automobile manufacturer behind them.
In fact, the entire IFL project depends on the active participation of specialist companies. Therefore, at this point we would like to make a clear call again: Get involved! The easiest way: access the registration form online on the IFL website, fill it out and send it. Neither registration nor registration is necessary. Or: Reporting form from the online calculation system. Here the user can fill out and send directly during a calculation. Who ultimately benefits from the IFL’s commitment? Basically the entire market. "If everyone involved in a vehicle repair, regardless of whether service, technology or accident, has access to realistic timelines, cost estimates are compared with the effort. Workshops benefit from better planning figures for workshop utilization and invoice totals," explains Peter Börner, President of the Central Association of Body and Vehicle Technology (ZKF) and board member of the IFL.
