Exit restrictions should be reflected in online search behavior. We asked Michael Gawanda, head of the Willhaben motor network.

Willhaben: Retail uses the time for online advertisements
The exit restrictions play into the hands of online shops and online platforms. We want to know from Michael Gawanda, Head of Car & Motor Motornetzwerk-Willhaben, what the numbers reveal.
"The number of contacts is falling somewhat at the moment, which is naturally due to the current government measures. However, we note positively overall: the number of vehicles that have been added to watch lists by users in the past few weeks is very high. We are talking about more than 750,000 car reservations in March alone. In terms of traffic, according to the current ÖWA figures, visits and visitors in the car sector in March are at about the same level as the previous year."
Gawanda says that many retailers are using the time now to completely put purchases or inventory on hold or to optimize advertisements. "Otherwise, the online area is of course essential, especially these days, in order to be able to present yourself well. We are also receiving a lot of feedback that preparations for the first week in which we are allowed to reopen are in full swing."
