“We deliberately set the bar high because we also want to keep the level of performance high,” explains Salzburg state education officer Walter Aigner. However, the young boys did not let this deter them and put on an impressive performance. Christoph Berger, sent into the race by Porsche Wien-Liesing, won with 84 out of 100 possible points, Lukas Ziegler from Josef Reim's independent vehicle workshop in Großkrut, Lower Austria, came in second with 81 points, and the young Salzburg resident Michael Altacher from Porsche Inter Auto in Zell am See came third with 75 points.

Federal Education Officer Hubert Stoff congratulated all participants on behalf of the Federal Association of Automotive Technicians. “The motor vehicle is a multi-technological complexity – a marvel of development,” says Stoff, “the boys have to face this challenge every day.” Well-known sponsors such as Kia, Castrol, Würth, Berner and Garanta insurance supported the event, Castrol marketing manager Michaela Rockenbauer presented the attractive main prize to Christoph Berger: two VIP tickets for the 2014 Spain Rally on October 26th in Port Aventura.
