What effects does the change to the Motor Vehicle Act 1967 have on the assessment deadlines in accordance with Section 57a KFG 1067, which was passed in the National Council on April 3, 2020? Andreas Westermeyer (Federal Guild) explains: Vehicles in class M1 (passenger cars) with an assessment tolerance period (4 months) are currently not affected due to the temporary measures until May 31, 2020. Only vehicles without a previous assessment tolerance period benefit from the changes, e.g. taxis and rental cars.
Examples:
- Pkw M1: Lochung 02/2020 – fällt nicht in die neue Regelung – hat jedoch in der Regel 4 Monate Toleranzfrist (= 06/2020)
- Pkw M1: Lochung 03/2020 – die Gültigkeit ist bis 30. Mai 2020 gehemmt – hat jedoch in der Regel 4 Monate Toleranzfrist (= 07/2020)
However, vehicles in class N2 (trucks, vans) are affected. This means that vehicles with a “Pickerl” perforation 03/2020,with no tolerance period so far, can now carry out the review until May 30, 2020.
Examples:
- LKW N2: Lochung 02/2020 – fällt nicht in die neue Regelung – KEINE TOLERANZFRIST!!
- LKW N2: Lochung 03/2020 – die Gültigkeit ist bis 30. Mai 2020 gehemmt – dann keine Toleranzfrist!!
