Change at the top of Carplus

As of January 1, 2022, Peter Kirisics (Carplus Sales Manager) will take over the management of Carplus from Olaf Helfer, who is leaving the company after 15 years. Kirisics will manage the business together with Michael Schlögl, who represents Sabine Berg during her maternity leave. As a man from the very beginning, Olaf Helfer played a key role in the development of Carplus, shaped the company and has led it since 2018: "Together with the team, I can look back on 15 very successful years. I helped build Carplus right from the start, now it's time to hand over the baton to the next generation. I'm leaving with a very good feeling and the certainty that Peter Kirisics, together with this committed, successful team, will establish Carplus in the digital age." Helfer will take on a new challenge in the middle of next year.

Peter Kirisics originally comes from the parent company Wiener Städtische Versicherung AG. At Carplus he was most recently in charge of sales; before that he was country manager. Michael Schlögl heads the property insurance actuarial department at Wiener Städtische Versicherung and was managing director at Carplus from 2010 to 2017.

The four-person Carplus leadership from the previous and new management team agree: "The automotive industry is in the midst of major changes and challenges. Through continuity, innovative approaches to solutions and our personal, comprehensive on-site support, we can provide our dealers with the best possible support and support. This will ensure that carplus continues its successful path."

There is also a new face: Markus Lill has been strengthening the Carplus team since October 1, 2021. As country manager, the industry professional is responsible for supporting Carplus dealer partners in Vienna, Lower Austria and Upper Austria. He reports to sales manager Peter Kirisics. The Kfz-BÖV-certified insurance advisor has many years of sales experience in the automotive industry. In his early days, Lill was involved in setting up GMAC insurance, and most recently he worked in a leading position at an Austrian motor vehicle industry insurer for eleven years. “I am looking forward to contributing my experience to Carplus in order to – together with the team – further expand the dealer network and deepen the services provided by the cooperation partners.”
