Business premises with a maximum internal customer area of 400m2 have been allowed to open their doors since April 14, 2020. Changing the size of the customer area is not permitted during the measurement. Closing off the showroom (made after April 7th) is not permitted. According to estimates by BGO Klaus Edelsbrunner, around 20% of Austrian car dealerships are not allowed to open under the current regulations. So probably not until May 2, 2020. According to the new regulations, car washes at gas stations are now also allowed to open. The exception for motor vehicle workshops has been expanded to include bicycle workshops. The safety measures to be taken include mouth and nose protection, at least one meter distance between people and a maximum of one customer per 20 m2. The maximum opening time was set at 7:40 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
