With more than 1,000 employees at 14 locations, the Denzel Group achieved the second-best result of all time last year with 14.4 million euros. With over 40,000 vehicles sold, Wolfgang Denzel Auto AG is the largest private automobile dealer in Austria. The subsidiaries Bankhaus Denzel, Denzel Immobilien and Autoplus Tires and Accessories Wholesale were also successful in 2015 and all achieved earnings growth.

Board spokesman Gregor Strassl: “With 18 different automobile brands, we offer our customers a selection that is unique in Austria and ensures independent advice.” Despite the unbridled desire to buy cars in Austria, Strassl criticizes the high tax burden on private transport in Austria. "The vehicle tax in this country is, on average, more than twice as high as in Germany. The sales tax, which is also higher, and the car motorway toll are key factors that contribute to Austria falling further and further behind economically in international comparison."
